Love Rising, at its most basic, is a day – from sunrise to sunset on July 15th – when we ask participants to intentionally pause and reflect on our community: what we have, what we hope for, and what each of us can do to create caring communities. Ideally, however, Love Rising is a movement, a way of life, a commitment from each person, from each neighbor, to live the philosophy of Love Rising all year long – and that is, peace takes community.
Love Rising is neighbors intentionally creating caring communities by what they do, how they act, and the choices they make every day.
Join the 5th Annual Love Rising Community Day of Reflection on July 15, 2024 & Related Events the Third Week of July
This year, we’ve added new events to our Love Rising schedule in the days leading up to July 15th . The events will take place at different locations, and all are organized to support the idea of reflecting on how to bring peace into our own lives and out into our communities. On July 15th , we’re asking Love Rising participants to set aside just one hour between sunrise and sunset to focus on what unites us with our neighbors. We’re hoping participants will thoughtfully consider how they can enrich their community and make it a place where each member feels supported and welcome to contribute and belong.
“Many of us believe in the power of prayer, but you don’t need to be a religious person to be part of this day. If you have love for your neighbors, love for your community, please join us. Set aside an hour, or whatever time you have.”
